Java
javase_logo_150pxA single platform, a single language. The incredible vision James Gosling and his team at Sun had in the early 90's is now a reality.

Java represents nothing short of the oxygen of the mobile industry. Almost all handsets run it to some extent, and the next gen Android OS runs an advanced version beyond what desktops of just a few years ago were capable of. And of course, mobile is all about communication, and over the internet that means data. When handsets connect to remote systems, chances are they are again talking to java on the server. It scales. It handles large volums of traffic safely.

It is everywhere.

OTAMate has been developing with java since it was launched. We are equally at home using JME for mass market handsets, Androids Java (Dalvik), JSE for the desktop and JEE for the server.
And we've done quite a lot of it ;-)
