OTA: Over The Air

OTAMate Technology provides a complete and comprehensive solution that allows device
content managers to manage their downloadable applications online. This can range from
a single java midlet marketed to a smartphone via a reverse-billed SMS service, to a
full catalogue content delivery and billing system with licensing and downloadable
language facilities.
The OTAMate services are a proven solution for content managers. They are flexible
enough to be adapted quickly to each customers needs. Rapid offline prototyping provides
quality assurance in a controlled enviroment for pre/post launch testing and development.
Custom reports and actions can be written in OTAScript. This is the XML based
language which has intimate knowledge of all the events, variables and actions in the
various OTAx services. OTAScript can be used for:

- Customising system views, e.g. a summary in smartphone-browser friendly HTML
- Triggering email/SMS alerts based on user defined criteria
- Time based activity, e.g. updating product currency prices every hour
- Exporting custom XML data
- Invoking a product managers SOAP webservice when certain criteria is matched

As well as the web-based management facilities the OTAMate services are available,
where appropriate, as web services to SOAP clients such as Microsoft .NET and Java.
